Can Dish Drainers Be Spray Painted

Today I am going to share a quick  piece I made from an old dish rack that had rusted up and I was set up to throw  out… merely every bit usual inspiration struck!

I grabbed that onetime wire rack and took it  with me on my way to the farm.  This is where I do well-nigh of my painting, and of course I forgot to take a "earlier" motion picture.  And then I have found a stock photo from Google (give thanks God for Google) to show you lot what it looked like before, only imagine it with lots of rust!

Σήμερα θα μοιραστώ ένα γρήγορο κομμάτι που έκανα από ένα παλιό καλάθι στραγγίσματος πιάτων  που είχε σκουριάσει και ήταν έτοιμο για τα σκουπίδια … αλλά ως συνήθως η έμπνευση χτύπησε!

I painted it with a blackness rust proof spray paint, and as I was running out I did non practice the best chore, but I believe that is part of the charm.  Here is what it looked like after the pigment.

Το έβαψα με ένα μαύρο σπρέι, και όπως μου τελείωνε δεν είχα κάνει την καλύτερη δουλειά, αλλά πιστεύω ότι είναι μέρος της γοητείας. Εδώ είναι αυτό που έμοιαζε μετά την βαφή.

What to exercise next??  If any of you have been following me recently, you know that I take been in a wrapping frenzy.  And I had vowed to non practise this any fourth dimension soon… So what practise I go ahead and do?  Wrap!!   Of class, it was much less painful this fourth dimension around.

Τι να κάνω στη συνέχεια;  Αν κάποιοι από εσάς με ακολουθείτε πρόσφατα, ξέρετε ότι είμαι σε μια  φάση μανία περιτυλίγματος. Και είχα ορκιστεί να μην το κάνω αυτό σύντομα … Λοιπόν, τι πάω και κάνω; Το τυλίγω !! Βεβαίως, ήταν πολύ λιγότερο οδυνηρή αυτή τη φορά.

I wrapped the twine all around the top part of the wire rack.  And that was it.  I think it gives it a nice rustic experience without being heavy handed.  And like I said before, I was not perfect with the black paint so it has an old world charm.

Το τύλιξα με σπάγγο σε όλο το επάνω μέρος του καλαθιού. Και αυτό ήταν. Νομίζω ότι δίνει μια  ωραία ρουστίκ αίσθηση, χωρίς να είναι βαρύ. Και όπως είπα και πριν, δεν το έκανα τέλειο με το μαύρο χρώμα,  ώστε να έχει μια γοητεία περασμένων εποχών.

I tied the twine on the side and added a blackboard label that I had purchased from Micheal's. Το έδεσα με σπάγγο  και πρόσθεσα μια ετικέτα του χρώματος μαύρη κιμωλία. ​

And after I finished it I decided to use it as a file holder.

Και μετά που το τελείωσα αποφάσισα να το χρησιμοποιήσω ως βάση να  κρατάει  αρχεία  και φάκελα.
